It doesn’t matter what you personal style may be, there are some things which are simply unacceptable.
Any time you go out into public and look around, you’re almost certain to see someone making one of these mistakes. If you’re one of them, you need to stop now. Don’t try to justify it in any way, just accept it for the mistake it is, and knock it off. Continue reading “A Brief Guide to Men’s Style: Mistakes to Stop Making” »
Choosing a shirt and accessories to complete your style is one of the easiest parts of the entire process, and is where the door is opened for more adventurous choices.
You can never buy a shirt for life, they are always temporary and comparatively cheap. If you want to jump in on trends, or do something outlandish, this is always the best place to do it. It’s far easier to eat the cost of a $30 shirt you wore once, than $600 boots.

If you only own one pair of pants, there is no debate over what that should be. Blue jeans are the american standard for a reason: they’re great.
The problem is America has been led astray by marketers for so long, the majority of Americans don’t know what good denim is. To put it bluntly: it’s safe to say just about every pair of jeans you have ever seen in any store (which wasn’t a specialty denim store) was crap.

When I talk about fear, I’m talking about:
- Fear of wasting money on something they will never wear.
- Fear of looking or feeling stupid.
- Fear of making a mistake, a lack of confidence.
As men do, we rationalize these fears, often to the point of absurdity. We hold on to shoes, holes worn through the sole, because they’re comfortable. Our single formal outfit no longer fits, but look at what great shape it’s in! Continue reading “A Brief Guide to Men’s Style: The Basics” »
No matter what your interests, hobbies, professions, or proclivities; your goal should be to come as close to mastery as possible, in the time provided.
We have all heard the expression that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to master a single skill. The actual number is irrelevant, the point is: mastering anything takes a significant amount of work. As is typically the case in life, we don’t often have the ability to dedicate nearly three years of our waking life to a single task.
You’re going to need to find some shortcuts. Continue reading “How to Master any Skill” »
